The combination of endless beaches, super strong wind and waves close to a huge metropolis with all the amenities, is unique in the world.
Every year from December - February the Who's Who of the kite elite meets on the beaches around Cape Town to train for the upcoming season and compete for the King of the Air contest. Nowhere else in the world can you see such a high concentration of pro kitesurfers on the water performing never before seen tricks.
